Auto updating to excel odbc
We need some raw data and we will utilize Customer Service Dashboard sample database here. First we will design the structure of what all option we want to present for filtering the data, which you can see in the interface below.
Once the user clicks on Show Data we will use a SQL statement to filter-out the data as per the drop down options selected by the user and the put them in the table below.
It has been a very widely applied spreadsheet for these platforms, especially since version 5 in 1993, and it has replaced Lotus 1-2-3 as the industry standard for spreadsheets. In one Excel sheet are now 407 632x1 048 576 cells, so there are 427 428 937 728 cells. using a grid of cells arranged in numbered rows and letter-named columns to organize data manipulations like arithmetic operations.
It has a battery of supplied functions to answer statistical, engineering and financial needs.
Basically the query string goes through each row in excel sheet (from 1 to 50) and the data on certain cells are added to the sql query and then inserted with rs. (each row has some 5 columns which are inserted as a record) Everything runs well, however I just want to know if there is a faster way (just one INSERT query), inserting all 50 (and 5 columns on each), from row 1 to 50, all at once.
At the moment it is doing 50 individual INSERT queries, so I am trying to reduce that to 1 but I don't know if it is possible.
Programming with VBA allows spreadsheet manipulation that is awkward or impossible with standard spreadsheet techniques.
It also has a variety of interactive features allowing user interfaces that can completely hide the spreadsheet from the user, so the spreadsheet presents itself as a so-called application, or decision support system (DSS), via a custom-designed user interface, for example, a stock analyzer, The Windows version of Excel supports programming through Microsoft's Visual Basic for Applications (VBA), which is a dialect of Visual Basic.Once this is done we need to hit the road with some VBA code.On this line, we define all the possible file extensions that we are allowed to create an Excel Workbook and then use as our database.Click here to learn more about VBA Classes & join us.
