Outlook calendar meetings not updating
For more information see: Exchange Outlook Calendaring Problems.
Exchange itself is usually not the root of the problem, the mail clients (Active Sync, i OS devices, Blackberries, i Cal) and their connectivity protocol tend to be the culprits. For instance, if someone accepts a meeting at 9am on an i Phone and a delegate declines it at am on a PC, but the i Phone is out of signal range and doesn't sync the meeting until say am., what happens to the meeting?
You're automatically added as an attendee, and the event is added to your personal calendar. Email notifications such as “Accept,” “Tentative,” and “Decline,” are distracting and can clutter your inbox.
When you use a group calendar to schedule your event, you can easily get an at-a-glance view at who's coming, who's not, and who has yet to respond.
The question: How can we get "User A's" calendar to update.
A silly way to fix this might be just to have the original message created by and edited in the future by a 3rd party or dummy account.
When you create a meeting on a group calendar, it appears as organized by the group.setup: "User A" creates appointment in a public folder named "Calendar". Appointment set on the public folder named "Calendar" Appointment is set in "User A"'s calendar Appointment is set in "User B"'s calendar "User A" has an iphone and the calendar item is even synched to it (life is rockin) Now "User B" edits the appointment adjusting the time. Appointment is set in "User B"'s calendar Appointment set on the public folder named "Calendar" "User A" rececieves a message as follows."User A" includes "User A", and "User B" as an "antendee". "Subject"; User B sent on behalf of User A (/w text As the meeting organiser you do not need to respond to this message.) The perceived problem: "User A"'s calendar is never updated.kfalandays When I do the same thing on my outlook, set up a second calendar and create a meeting on that calendar.Invite myself when I click send it prompts me a question on if I want to update my calendar now, I click yes and the appointment appears on my main calendar and on the 2nd calendar.
